some guy liked our temple in S.L.
he built this an another church here in
cebu to look like ours. i don't know the
nameof it. But i heard only the upper
class are members.
i want to write a few words about living here. it could be the most beautiful place in the world if only it were clean. we love to get out of the city and visit the districts and branches to help re- activate members. we do this every other weekend. the leaders are still learning how to run the church. they try so hard and mostly it is a younger church. so many philippino missionaries, both girls and boys are serving. they will have a great church over here if they keep active. the leaders, like a branch president can be some young man not long off his mission, and newly married. they also are not getting married because they are so poor. there are a lot of very good women, returned missionaries that can't find a good husband. these are educated and pretty women. pray for the people for us. i don't want them to change how humble and sweet they are,but i would like to see a better economy. when you read the book of mormon, it makes you afraid for people to have more for fear they will not be able to stay humble. this mission has diffidently made me more thankful for our great blessings.
